Yes, the lids are plastic. The idea is that you wouldn’t put the lids in the microwave while warming food, and that you can wash those by hand as well. The stainless steel tiffin boxes from To-Ware are another favorite, though they wouldn’t work for microwaving

Do Frigoverre lids reaaally stay on? Or am i better off finding some of those locking ones.

I’ve been using pyrex glass containers with lids for years! The opaque lids on the ones you featured look great.

We use these in our home at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage and love them so much we sell them in our store (Milkweed Mercantile). I know that sounds cheesy, like “the hair club for men” – but these make food storage and cleanup so much easier!
